Mandatory Recycling

What:
Paper: newspapers, magazines, junk mail, and corrugated cardboard
Glass: food and beverage bottles and jars
Plastic bottles: food and beverage, soap, detergent, and health/beauty aid containers that have the above recycling symbols imprinted on the bottom
Aluminum & steel (tin) cans: soda, beer, fruit, vegetable, pet food, and other food and beverage cans and EMPTY aerosol cans (except paint)

How:
Paper: place in paper grocery bag
Bottles and cans: place these recyclables together in one reusable container marked “Recyclables”.
Do NOT place recyclables in plastic bags

Grass clipping & leaves are recyclable - place in properly labeled container, no dirt or weeds.

Do NOT recycle:
Paper: food boxes, egg cartons, soda and beer carriers; food contaminated or plastic coated paper and cardboard; plates, towels and napkins
Glass: light bulbs, mirrors, drinking glasses, Pyrex
Aluminum: foil, pie plates
Steel: paint cans, cans over 2 1/2 gallons
Plastic: motor oil and charcoal lighter fluid bottles, toys, tableware, straws, plastic bags, six pack rings, laundry baskets, storage containers, drawer organizers

You must recycle and you may not cause litter. That’s the law - don’t get fined!
