Eagle at Corson's Inlet???

This past Sunday, we were at Corson's Inlet looking at some birds when we spotted a very large bird. It looked almost too big to be an Osprey. (we were looking at it thru our binoc's from about 50-75 yards) Could we have been looking at an eagle? Does anyone know if eagles have ever been spotted in this area??
