Re: Chris's Dock

I recently discovered the "Chris' Dock" thread which many contributed to several years ago. I would like to either continue that or start a new one, sharing memories and pictures of this incredible speedboat.
I remember a lot about the Saucer -- its sleek lines, the power, its movement through the water. Particular moments include:
*watching it approach from the beach -- it was identifiable even from a great distance because of the unique shape of its bow and the spray it dished
*the circle turns that Chris used to make to thrill and soak passengers
*the way it would rise high up over, then plunge deep down into waves, drenching everyone on board (but Chris up front, least of all)
*the side-to-side rocking when running parallel to near breakers just beyond the surf line
*the way Chris maneuvered it: pushing all three throttles to fly under the Longport Bridge; sometimes spinning the wheel hard in heavy seas... and so much more.
I've never again experienced anything like that combination of speed and power on water. Anyone else have memories to share?
